The Arc Detroit is dedicated and committed to providing advocacy for persons with intellectual impairments and other developmental disabilities wherever they choose to live, work and play.

The Arc Detroit believes that all people, including those with intellectual impairments and other developmental disabilities, have individual abilities and, as citizens and human beings, have the right to influence their own daily lives.

The Arc Detroit also believes that governments share the responsibility of enabling communities in ways that are personally satisfying to them as individuals.

​The Arc Detroit believes that people with intellectual impairments and other developmental disabilities, have the same legal, personal and civil rights under federal and state laws as other citizens.​
